jLogbook: There are two variations of this application which can be used to monitor logs in an industrial setting. It can also be used (with different configurations) as a Knowledge Base, a Control Room Order Book, and as a Shift Report (Handover Logs) Logbook.
jLogbook 4 (jServer version): This is a web server version of jLogbook. I.e. You install only one copy of the jLogbook on site and all your users can access it across the internal Intranet. (This is the preferred version for small and medium sized systems (Up to 20 simultaneous users.) It is like the Apache version but it is much simpler to install and run.
jLogbook 4 (Apache Version): This is also a web server version of jLogbook which uses the Apache Web Server. I.e. You install only one copy of the jLogbook on site and all your users can access it across the internal Intranet. (This is the preferred version for large systems. (Say 20 users upwards).)
jHistorian: An application that efficiently stores (logs) industrial process information (trends and alarms) into Access, SQL Server, MySQL or Oracle databases.
jBrowser: An application that can be used to view process data in graphical (trend), numeric and alarm formats that has been stored by jHistorian.
Other Utilities: Other utilities such as the jMachine application used to determine the ID of your machine for licensing purposes.
jWorkbook: This is an application that enables you to write SQL queries directly into a spreadsheet and collect the result of those queries in the sheet itself.
jeTX: A plant reporting package provided by our Systems Integrator ETX which links in to the jHistorian application.

Please Note: Release 4.3.0 onwards of jLogbook requires Python 2.3 and a new version of mod_python. For most customers, therefore, you will need to download the full install and start from scratch. If you are upgrading from jLogbook 4.3.0 or later you can just download the update. Please contact us if you need any help upgrading.

Download jBrowser
An application that can be used to view process data in graphical (trend), numeric and alarm formats that has been stored by jHistorian.
jBrowser comes in two versions. Version 4 is the new Zero Client jBrowser which runs in Internet Explorer or Firefox (and probably many other browsers too!) and Version 3 is the client server version. We recommend you use the new Version 4 system unless you want to maintain compatibility with an existing version 3 legacy system.

If you intend using MySQL, please download and install this driver: myoledb-3.9.6-debug.msi
To run the application, first start up a jHistorian application and point to the jBrowserDemo.mdb file in the c:\program files\jBrowser directory. This will give you some data to look at.
Then, from the Start menu, click Programs -> jBrowser -> jBrowser. This will start the jBrowser server and tell you the URL to use to connect to the server via an IE or Firefox browser.

This version includes the Apache server, Mod Python and the jBrowser apache version.
Please note that we recommend this version for heavier traffic and more than 10 users. The installation should be carried out by an IT trained person.

jBrowser 3 (Client Server Version) (Only recommended for compatibility with legacy systems)
The jBrowser 3 installers come in two flavors: one which includes Microsoft Data Access Components 2.5 (necessary for Windows 98) and one which doesn't (and is therefore smaller). In addition, the version with MDAC is packaged as an .exe file (which includes the Windows Installer setup) whereas the version without is packaged as an .msi file for machines which already have the latest Windows Installer.

Note: Should you be running the Browser under Access, and receive any of the following errors: 'Cannot open any more tables.', 'Object invalid

Other Utilities
To get the id of your machine (computer), download and then run the jMachine application in a command shell. This will produce an id which you should send to us so that we can issue you with a permanent license for your computer.

jWorkbook 2.0.6
Note that the current version of jWorkbook will not work on Windows 2003 (or later) based systems. We are creating a new version which will work on Windows 2003 (and later) versions.
jWorkbook 2.0 is available, and it's free! In order to use it you need to do two things:

- Get yourself a free license by clicking here You will need to store this in the c:\program files\jWorkbook folder.
Please note that jWorkbook will only work with Excel 2000 (from version 2.0.5) and above, as it requires the COM Add-In feature which is not available in previous versions of Excel.
Click on the link below to download the jWorkbook setup program. Save jWorkbook206.msi in a local folder, then double-click on it to run it. You may be asked to restart your computer during the installation process.

jeTX Reporting Product
The jeTX Plant Reporting package is a network based, client/server software package which allows you to view the status of your plant. The system is divided into two separate programs, i.e.
The eTX Plant Reporting Server extracts data from any SQL database where data has been archived by the jHistorian. This package has been designed specifically to search for and extract data from the SQL database to which the jHistorian data-historian logs data.
The Client Tools which allow you to connect to the server from anywhere on the network and view the data in either graphical or tabular form.
The eTX Plant Reporting Server should preferably be installed on the machine where SQL Server resides, although it will connect to SQL server across the network.
The easy to use client tools allow you to connect to the server from anywhere on the network and view the data in either graphical or tabular form.
To use the jeTX Plant Reporter you will need:
