Who we are
We are a privately owned Software company with International affiliates and International Customers. Our staff consists of a team of qualified, experienced engineers and programmers committed to the development of hardened industrial applications that we can provide at reasonable prices.
A fierce Industrial Emphasis
We are 100% devoted to the Industrial fields and spend 100% of our time meeting the needs of Industries that are looking to improve their processes through the use of computer systems and in particular through the storage of industrial information in relational databases.
We are first and foremost a Product Company
We are the developers of a range of mature products that uniquely address the needs of the Industrial Marketplace. In particular:
- The j5 LogBook application family is acknowledged by many industrial corporations as the market leader in configurable, web-based control room logging applications,
- The j5 Historian application has rewritten the record book and is unique in it's ability to reliably store large quantities of Industrial data in standard databases like MS Access, MS SQL Server, MySQL and Oracle,
- The j5 Browser is a Zero Client Historical viewer that enables anyone to view historical data over an Intranet without the need to load any software on the client machine.
Our Fields of Experience
Our primary experience is in the creation of generic Industrial software packages that can be applied across a large range of industries. In this respect, we have had experience in the following industries: Mining and Metallurgy, Specialty Chemicals, Manufacturing, Refining and Petrochemical, Communications and also in SCADA systems.
From a technical point of view, our areas of expertise lie in the SCADA and MES areas and also in Database design. Our programming skills are in Python, C++, and of course the SQL variants. We also support the opensource initiative and have a number of projects in this area.
Our objectives in the market place
Our objective is to provide a suite of mature, practical, Industrial software applications that we can provide at a reasonable price and that will be largely self configuring and completely Zero Client based. I.e. the applications will require no special software other than a standard browser. This suite of programs allows users to make more use of the process control data by distributing it across the enterprise network.
Adequate funding
We are adequately funded and enjoy a healthy balance sheet. Our cost structures are such that we are ideally positioned to capitalize on the ability of the Internet to distribute software economically around the world.
